Let go of fear and move forward

Mother Nature brought us a pretty in pink kind of sweet and salty sunrise. With a calm ocean and slight breeze the morning was extra calm. A chatty flock of gulls flew in before sunrise for bath time encouraging us to lead with our hearts.

It was like the wildlife door opened and a shark swam by as the sun was coming up, 5 ducks flew in, a yellow crowned night heron and a blue heron too!

The shark looking for breakfast in the waves said, “I use my sensitivity to know how to move forward. With my sense as my GPS, I can grab the abundant opportunities all around. I’m here to remind you to let go of any fear and go for what your heart’s desire.”

The blue heron and yellow crusted night heron were both engaging yet very focused. They remind us to stay focused, taking one step at a time. Big Blue added, “And give yourself a cool hairdo, it can boost your confidence.”

Celebrate your wins

Mother Nature used every crayon in the box today giving us a gorgeous start to the the day. At first light the sky was blue and a soft pink with light rays jetting into the sky giving us a hopeful vibe.

The ocean was calm except for perfect waves rolling in close to shore soaking up the light show.

A chatty flock of gulls flew in before the sun ready for bath time. An osprey caught a fish to my left then flew by screeching.

She said, “Celebrate your wins! Gratitude for grabbing your goal is a great way to keep the momentum flowing and inspire others."

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Grounded and aware to snatch your goal

With a cloud wall on the horizon, the morning stayed dark and cozy. A pink and blue hue filled the sky before the sun came up adding an intense golden glow to the sunrise.

A chatty flock of gulls flew in to say hello when it was still dark. One of the gulls kissing his reflection said, “Fall deeper in love with yourself.”

As I walked off the beach I ran into a yellow crowned night heron looking for breakfast. They are stealth hunters, able to eat a whole crab, shell and all.

He brings the message of being grounded and fully in the moment ready to snatch your goal. In the voice of Elmer Fudd he said, “Be verrrry quiet, I’m hunting crabs. Patience and awareness are my secret ingredient to success."

Make a commitment, One step at a time

Another sweet and peaceful sunrise with a calm ocean and light breeze. A huge cloud on the horizon looked like a mountain range keep the sun hidden for a long time. When the sun came up, the light jetted out like a star bring an immense feel of hope.

A small but chatty flock of gulls flew in to enjoy bath time in a tide pool while a couple osprey searched for food.

One osprey brings us the message of committing to your goal and diving in. She said, “Whatever it is you desire, go for it. It’s ok if you don’t catch your fish the first time, stay committed, you got this.”

More ducks joined the sunrisers to watch the beautiful sunrise near the dunes. One of them said, “We agree with the osprey, make a commitment and take it one step at a time. Enjoy the adventure.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode -Communication and Snacks

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode -Communication and Snacks

When I got to the lagoon, there was a solo dolphin already there. He stayed and was grabbing fish for about an hour when 3 more dolphin came in for an early dinner. The solo dolphin left as if passing the baton to the new pod.

The 3 buddies stayed and grabbed a few mullet and relaxed. There was chuffing and tail slapping which adding to the excitement. Chuffing is forceful exhale, often repeated several times. These are ways they communicate and hunt.

When they chuff and I am in the area, I back up and give lots of space. One day a couple years ago, the water was murky and I was in waist deep with a solo dolphin. He swam toward me chuffing with a great deal of intensity.

I backed up right away but was still in the knee deep water when he did it again. I backed out to my ankles thinking, “Wow, he is really angry.” About 2 minutes later a shark swam by. I thanked the dolphin and he left.

Let’s your ducks fly with wild abandon

Ahhhhh, another serene sunrise with a light breeze and calm ocean. Beautiful rays of pink light jetted into the sky before the sun came up to greet the day.

A chatty flock of gulls flew in to enjoy the sunrise with their usual wings and hearts open ready to soak up the light.

The ocean looked more like a lake with a few waves rolling in after the sun came up. While photographing the sunrise 3 ducks flew in, landing near the dunes for some much needed grooming time.

They said, “We are here to remind you to take time to care for your physical body. We find, just a few minutes to get the bugs off and remove old feathers can make a big difference in how we feel.”

“We also want to let you know that saying about getting your ducks in a row….that’s just silly, let your ducks fly with wild abandon. It’s way more freeing and fun!”

Black Swans bring hope

Ahhhhh, a magical sunrise with only a slight breeze and calm ocean bringing us a peaceful start to the day.

As I walked to the ocean I could see tracks from a Momma Turtle who had already come and gone, leaving behind her eggs. She reminds us to trust our choices.

The waves were perfect as they rolled toward shore soaking up the light. They remind us how energy comes in waves, some are larger than others, but always there to assist us on our path. Ride the energy.

And if that wasn’t enough I saw my first pair of black swans! Apparently they are not naturally found here so their presence is even more special.

They said, “We bring the message of transformation, death and rebirth. We are a reminder that sometimes going through the dark night of the soul is how we emerge into the light. We are here to bring you hope.”

“We also mate for life, reminding you partnership of all kinds is an excellent way to feel supported and connected.”

Inspire others

WOW! What a beautiful masterpiece of a sunrise Mother Nature brought us this morning.Working with the Sahara sand fro Africa, the sunrise was filled with heart expanding beauty.

A chatty flock of gulls flew in to remind us to lift each other up. They said, “We flock together with wings and hearts open as a way to inspire and support each other.”

On the way off the beach, I ran into a male cardinal who was listening intently. He said, “Listen closely to others around you as well as your intuition. Pay attention to the guidance coming to you.”

“I’m also a reminder your loved ones from the other side are available for support and love, all you have to do is tune in.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Spring Time Play Time

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Spring Time Play Time

The lagoon has been busy the last week with all kinds of wildlife popping in for snacks, romance, rest and more snacks.

Manatees, ducks, pelicans, gulls, dolphins and turtles. At times, it was so crowded the dolphins had to wait for the turtles or manatees to move so they could go grab a fish.

Milo and Pip the pelicans have been around almost daily along with a core group of mature pelicans who hang with the dolphins for fish.

Max, the dolphin with 2 shark bites (one old and one recent) has been in a few times. The other day I spent an hour with him alone. He was engaging and zipped by close giving me the side eye as he went to grab a fish in the shallows. That's the photo of the dolphin under water. I was wishing I had a wide angle lens for that swim by.

Open your heart and show off your beauty

The moon was illuminated high in the sky as I walked to the beach. At first the sunrise was muted filling the sky with a hint of pink.

A chatty flock of gulls flew in for bath time. The warm water felt good as the waves rolled in.

A couple of willets were in the flock looking for breakfast. Willets can look nondescript until they open their wings.

Willy the Willet opened his wings showing off his bold colors and said, “Show off your beauty by opening your heart and wings. Join me in showing off your beauty that lies beneath the surface.”

New view gives perspective

Weeeeeeeeeee! It’s a windy start to the day. The bright and beautiful moon was setting as the sun came up to greet the day. A powerful combination for sure!

The ocean was churning soaking up the pink and and golden colors. Pelican Highway was flying high enjoying gliding with ease in the thermals.

A very chatty flock of gulls flew in and held in place using the support of the wind to hover. They bring us the message of seeing things from a different perspective. They said, “Sometimes just the slightest change in how we see a person, situation or experience can give us clarity.”

Trust yourself, take a chance

Ahhhhh, Mother Nature brought us a spring time sunrise with a light breeze, calm ocean and pastel skies. A surprisingly large and chatty flock of gulls flew in to enjoy the sunrise at their usual time.

The bright full moon was setting as the sun came up to greet the day. This moon is situated in the sky to bring us the energy of prosperity, love and luck.

The moon said, “Use my energy! Now is the time to trust yourself and go for what your heart desires. I am assisting you by bringing you courage to let go of doubt and take a chance.”

Pelican Highway was jamming in both directions, slamming on the brakes to stop for snacks often. The gulls joined the pelicans for the breakfast buffet.

They added to the moon by saying, “Yes, take a chance and go for what you want. Sure we want fish and catching one is great, but we know preparing and diving is half the fun! Not to worry if you don’t catch a fish, you can dive again.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode ~ Safe Haven Snuggle Fest

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode ~ Safe Haven Snuggle Fest

Yesterday while hanging out with 2 male dolphins I saw several manatees out in the channel being frisky. I said to the dolphins, “Let me know if you see any sharks I’m walking out there.”

I was out to my shoulders watching the splash and kiss fest when the manatees took a sharp right run and heading toward my direction really fast. The female was leading the way as she zipped past me and right to the beach. She was definitely tired and needed a time out.

She laid on the beach in the mangroves very still for about 45 minutes. The males would come over, give her a smooch but she just wanted to rest. The y took the hint and swam off to snuggle and kiss with other manatees.

As the tide came in she floated into the shallows, still wanting her alone time. For 5 hours, when the boys came to give her a hug, she gave a big kick, saying no thank you, and then swam over to me. The boys gave her space and let her relax. I stayed until I knew she was rested and the boys were calmer. Truly an honor to be included.

Loosen your grip to feel steady

Mother Nature brought us a sweet and cozy kind of sunrise. Rain and lightning came from the fluffy clouds on the horizon. The ocean was churning sending salty spray in the air.

Soft colors filled the sky adding to the easy going feeling of the morning. A chatty flock of gulls flew in later than usual ready for bath time.

After sunrise I ran into a tricolored heron who was grabbing breakfast. While gripping a dock line loosely he said, “My secret to success is holding on lightly, I know it seems strange to loosen your grip but the truth is the lighter your grip the stronger your are.”

“Then I lean in so I am ready to strike when the moment arrives. Patience is necessary because I might be waiting a while for a fish to swim by. Trust me it is worth the wait.”

Adjust on the fly

The morning started with beautiful clouds accompanied by a pink and blue sky. As the sun came up, the orange and golden glow filled the sky adding to the beauty.

A soft and salty breeze was blowing as the ocean churned. The very chatty flock of gulls flew in using the wind to hang in place.

After sunrise I ran into dragonfly with a message of profound transformation. She said, “I go through a lot of change in my life cycle. I’m here to remind you to embrace change, for it’s an opportunity for growth. By letting go you are making room of the new.”

“I have the ability to dart back and forth encouraging you to be adaptable and flexible. When challenges arise, be open to making adjustments on the fly so you can navigate the uncertainty with grace.”

Tales from the Lagoon~ Episode - Boys Flying!

After sunrise, a couple male dolphins, came in for snacks. Apollo was one of them, I haven't seen him in long while so it was great to reconnect. I met him April of 2019 so this was a real treat to see him.

I haven't seen the dolphins out of the water this much in one day in a long time! So fun. They were all about the chasing fish with a rest but mostly all about the fish.

Shake it off

With storms looming again before the sun came up the sky filled with a gorgeous pink glow. The thick layer of clouds kept the light low and cozy.

As the fluffy clouds soaked up the lovely pastel colors, the flock of gulls flew in to say good morning.

While hanging with the flock an egret stopped in to join the party. He walked in front of the sun and gave himself a really good shake. You know, the kind of shake that sends all the dirt and bugs flying.

He said, “The combination of sunlight and a good shake is the perfect recipe to let the stress go and get you ready for a new day. Join me in letting the dirt go so you can feel fabulous.”
