Stick to your self care routine
With the absence of wind and a clam ocean, the morning was stillness was palpable. Gorgeous clouds hovering kept the morning feeling cozy and beautiful. Mother Nature used her pastel palette to give us a soothing start to the day.
A chatty flock flew in to connect and enjoy bath time despite cold water. They bring us the message of sticking to our self care routines even when it doesn’t feel convenient.
They said, “Sure the water and air is cold but we still need to get the bugs off to stay health. And, getting squeaky clean makes us look beautiful, don’t you think?”
Pelican Highway was very full with long lines of traffic heading southbound using the energy of the waves to carry them with ease. Skimmers, sand pipers and ruddy turnstones were also enjoying sunrise.

Let the baggage go
The air was crisp and cool as I walked to the beach. Every cell in my body was giddy with anticipation to see the sun again. So many birds were also enjoying the big ball of light. The flock flew in at their usual time for an extended bath time in the sparkly golden light.
Skimmers were sharing Pelican Highway cruising northbound while the pelicans headed southbound.
Skimmers are cool birds, they drag their lower beak through the water scooping up fish. And when they speak they sound like a dog barking.
One of the skimmers said, “ For the last few days of the year, slow it down, savor all the memories and experiences from 2023. Use the energy of the moon to let go of the baggage you no longer need so you can start the new year lighter.”
The man in the moon said, “Embrace the endings. Not to worry, new and wonderful experiences are yours to have.”

Rainy day duck message
We are having a rain day here in sunny Florida. I thought the message of a duck would be a nice way to start the day.
Ducks bring the message of good fortune, prosperity and hope! They remind us to keep plodding along, ready to swim or fly, whatever it takes.
They are deeply devoted to each other, encouraging us to love ourselves and our flock.
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Let the moon help you Release the painful experiences of 2023
Mother Nature is in a very moody bluesy kind of mood this week. Looks like the sun will be back in a couple days. With overcast skies, the full moon poked out for a couple of seconds to bring us the message today.
Full moons bring us endings and closure. How perfect, the year is ending with a full moon giving us the energy to release the painful experiences of 2023 so we can start the new year fresh. The moon is situated in the sky that may bring you a lot of emotions.
The man in the moon said, “Let yourself feel your emotions, all of them, take a deep breath and let go. If you feel like reacting, inhale and exhale while taking a moment to understand why.”
"Use my energy to honor you and your needs so you can start the new your with a fresh perspective.”
The gulls said, “We agree! Let go so you can keep your wings and hearts open.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
having a safe place to land
Mother Nature brought us a 100 shades of grey with misty rain and fog. Despite the overcast weather, the sweet and chatty flock flew in to enjoy the morning together.
The photos and message are inspired by one of the gulls this morning who landed on my head and by the bald eagles who come to town in the winter.
The eagle photos are from a day when a bald eagle and an osprey engaged in a high speed chase over a fish. To stay safe, the osprey dropped the fish which happened to be just a few feet away from where II was standing. The eagle swooped down and picked it up! The claws were huge and honestly a bit intimidating.
Bob the seagull who landed on my head this morning said, “Feeling safe is most important. You see, having a nice place to land, helps me stay calm and recharge my battery. When things feel a bit intense and scary, having a safe place to go to is how I survive.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - A Most Magical White Christmas!
Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - A Most Magical White Christmas!
Dreams do come true! I got to have a special white Christmas, a white pelican Christmas that is. And dolphins too! Thanks to a good friend, I got to see these beauties and have a dog photoshoot too!
Mona dropped me at an Island where I spent about 30 minutes hanging out with all kinds of birds. There must have been at least 70 white pelicans on the island and another 70 on the shore resting.
They are not just gorgeous but also huge! They have the second largest wingspan of any northern bird after the California condor. I find them to be more shy than the brown pelicans who sometimes have no boundaries.
They don’t drive for their food like the brown pelicans but feed by plunging their beak into the water. When they move and feed they do it in perfect harmony as if they are one.
Stay tuned for more tales!
The last one is 1 minute 14 second video where you can see them feeding, riding the current, walking and resting.
Beautiful flock
With rain on the way, Mother Nature brought us a pastel overcast sunrise.
The flock wanted to welcome you into their flock. They said, "Whether you celebrate today or not, we hope you have a beautiful day filled with beautiful connections."
Hope from an angel
I went to sunrise but the rain came.....thought I'd share one of my favorite cloud images. A sweet angel hanging her feet just above the sun and ocean.
This time of year can be challenging for those who have grief or feel alone. I hope this photo gives you peace, knowing you have support all around.
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Be open and receive love
The sun is back and showing off how beautiful the sunrise can be! Fluffy clouds soaked up the variety of colors adding to the dramatic landscape.
Just before the sun came out from the clouds it created a beautiful golden funnel, streaming light into the sky giving us a powerful and hopeful vibe to start the day.
The chatty flock flew in early with hearts open just below Venus who was high in the sky. One of the gulls said, “Keep your heart open when you are on the fly. The more open you are, the more love you can soak up.”
One Leggier as a twin! They said, “Look for like minded flock mates, they can help you feel understood and less alone.”

Weeeeeee! Time to play!
Mother Nature brought us an overcast fifty shades of grey sunrise so instead of the rainy sunrise, I decided to share a pretty in pink playful post to bring a little play into your day.
Wishing you a playful day friends!
See life through the eyes of another
I’m late to post because I was enjoying quality time with Uncle Larry and Jagger a couple of male dolphins friends. More from them later
Weeeeee, the wind was whipping, coming from the north with a bit of a nip. The flock flew in with a variety of birds to get sneaky clean after our connection time.
One of the laughing gulls came in close using the wind to hang in place mid air and say hello. He said, “Utilize the resources around even the ones that might seem like they are working against you.”
A ring billed gull walked over to say hello. I could see the sunrise in her eye bringing us the message of seeing life through the eyes of another. She went on to say, “This can bring you a new perspective and empathy for what they see.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Laughter creates a shift
With a heavy layer of grey clouds, the sunrise stayed dark and cozy. Eventually a little pink color came through mixing with the grey to bring a purple color theme.
The flock flew in at their usual time but it was too dark to snap their photos, but they said hello!
After sunrise, Rusty the pelican and his friends came over to say hello along with Charley and M - 2 male dolphins.
Charley and M are a lot of fun, engaging with the camera and showing off their playful personalities. Charley has a personality like a jokester, it’s true most of the dolphin know how to play. Charley has a personality much like a stand up comedian, as if he is always trying get a few laughs. He reminds us to giggle to create a shift.

Balance with Solo time and teamwork
Ahhhhhhhhh, Mother Nature brought us a crisp and beautiful sunrise. Wind was blowing the tops of the waves into the air adding to the beauty of the morning.
There was just a hint of a an orange glow when the flock flew in for our morning connection time.
A flock of red knots were already waiting at the edge of the ocean when the flock flew in. They are large sandpipers who move in synch as a group. They bring the message of teamwork and using the power of a flock to reach your goal.
In contrast a solo pelican was looking for breakfast. She said, “Sometimes I like to get off the Pelican Highway and fly on my own. A solo flight and dive gives me a sense of inner peace and confidence. When I’m ready, I rejoin the flock, so just like the red knots, I can be a part of a team.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Stay open to magic and hope
Good Morning! With a storm on the way, the sunrise was overcast and dark. Thank you for the suggestions for the post!
Luna the osprey said, "Keep your wings and heart open to the magic and hope of rainbows."
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Improvise
Rain drops kept falling on my head as I walked to the beach. The wind was whipping and the ocean was churning with intensity. Huge clouds filled the sky soaking up the pastel colors. For about 5 minutes we had a dramatic pink blast of color before it disappeared.
Purple streaming rain was all around when the flock flew in to say hello and get squeaky clean.
To keep the cameras dry I only snapped a couple photos today, so I am improvising adding a few photos from previous days bringing us the message of being creative.
Two egrets remind us to dance like no-one is watching. Kiss and hug because it’s fun!
Wishing you a day filled with fun!

The slightest shift can illuminate the hidden
With a heavy blanket of clouds, it was dark and cozy this morning. Instead of fifty shades of grey photos, the gulls inspired me to share a few of my favorites.
The flock continues to show me how to keep my heart open despite daily obstacles. They bring the message of looking at life from a different perspective, just the slightest shift can bring light to something previously hidden.
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
Utilize the resources around you
At first light the sky filled with a sultry purple glow, morphing to a breathtaking pink before the sun came up changing the landscape to a golden glow.
The chatty flock flew in when it was still dark using the wind to hang in place while we connected. They started the themed message of utilizing the resources around you, even the ones that seem unlikely.
They said, ‘Sure the wind is intense but we know how to use it to our advantage. You see, normally hovering in place takes a lot of effort but when the wind is strong, all we have to do is hold our wings out and with a lit flap we can hold still.”
After sunrise, a pod of dolphins and a couple pelicans were grabbing breakfast in between white caps. The pelican said, “I agree with the gulls. The dolphin are a great resource for me. Sometimes they toss me a fish, other times I am able to catch a fishy swimming away.”
Wishing you a day with unexpected resources!
