Almost full moon rising
Good Morning!
I'm off to the last group Ocean Float of 2024, so sharing the moonrise from last night.
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
trust your instincts
Ahhhhh, a salty layer of fog lingered above the shoreline while the sky filled with a muted pink glow 30 minutes before sunrise. The ocean was loud churning toward shore with strength and power courtesy of the lunar influence.
The chatty flock of gulls flew in early ready for our usual bath time. Sahara dust muted the sun making it look like a pink balloon kissing the ocean goodbye for the day.
After sunrise an osprey spotted a fish floating on the surface of the water. She came in with her claws open and ready to pounce but changed her mind at the last minute.
She said, “I recommend being open to checking out opportunities. Trust your instincts to know whether to dive in, your inner guidance always knows what’s best for you.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Embrace change
Good Morning! I'm away from the sunrise today, but felt inspired by all the dragonflies. Here are a few photos that didn't make earlier posts along with a message from the dragonfly.
The dragonfly brings us the message today. She said, “Even though I have delicate wings, I am able to make swift movements bringing the message of adaptability and transformation."
"I am a reminder to embrace change rather than avoid it. Life is full of unexpected turns, embrace your inner dragonfly and be ready to pivot, in order to grow.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Dive in!
The morning started with rays of blue light jetting from behind the clouds on the horizon. Soft shimmery light glistened on the calm ocean. A very loud flock of gulls flew in early for bath time just as a flock of pelicans arrived to grab breakfast.
The sun was late coming up from behind the clouds but that didn’t stop the pelican sushi rave. I snapped a photo of a pelican with a green band. I haven’t seen a green band before.
With a quick google search, Pelican “SPA” may have been in an oil spill in 2015 in California! I’m guessing after that experience he said, I’m moving to sunny Florida!
All the pelicans on the highway were slamming on the brakes and diving for fish bringing us the message to dive in! They said, “Go for it, when you feel inspired, commit and go for it. It’s ok, if you don’t grab a fish on the first try keep diving!”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
A very quick google search found this......Green banded pelican may be from California
These bands (also with white lettering) are used by Oiled Wildlife Care Network, and 46 of them were placed individual Brown Pelicans that were oiled (as a result of a crude oil pipeline leak) near Refugio State Beach in Santa Barbara in the spring of 2015.

Watch for signposts
Mother Nature used the swirly paint brush and pretty tin pink color palette giving us a cozy start to the day. Fish of all sizes were flying out of the water, sharks were jumping and speeding on top of the water chasing fish while several dolphins joined in the feeding frenzy.
When the sun came up, gold mixed with the pink bringing us a romantic vibe to the day. Pelicans got the call about the fish party after the sun was up. They flew in grabbing fish among the sharks and dolphins.
The dolphin grabbing a fish in front of the channel marker brings us the message today. She said, “Channel markers are all around, some are more obvious than others. I’m here to encourage watching for signposts to know where to grab your goal.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Share your expertise with the younger generation
Ahhhhh, with a light breeze, calm ocean and soft colors the sunrise was sweet and soothing. The chat flock flew in early with wings and hearts open ready to get squeaky clean and nap.
Clouds on the horizon hugged the sun as if came up streaming light into the skydiving us a hopeful vibe of a new day. Perfect waves rolled toward shore soaking up the golden light reminding us to trust the timing.
Charley and M were in the lagoon after sunrise with you a young dolphin. It looked like they were mentoring the kiddo, showing him the ropes. They said, “We bring the message of guiding our youth. Share your expertise with the kiddos, it’s a great way to help them learn!”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

If you imagine it, you can create it!
A busy morning with beauty meeting technology at sunrise along with a bird friend reunion! The flock flew in after a rocket launch this morning. The rocket lifted up surrounded by a pink glow, soaring high in the sky over the sunrise.
When the flock flew in I was surprised to see One Legger is back! We actually have 2 One Leggers who are amazing athletes and return to New Smyrna Beach every year.
One Legger said, “I am happy to return to my winter home and hang with my flock. I am a messenger of leaning into your strengths. Put your focus on the areas your thrive, and see how far you can go. Just like the rocket, if you can imagine it, you can create it!”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Ride the energy
Ahhhhh, a sweet and serene sunrise with jetting rays of blue light and soft light. The chatty flock of gulls were already at the edge of the ocean when I arrived. They were celebrating the beauty with wings and hearts open dancing on the sunshine.
The 2 together said, “Sure we are a bit tattered, missing a few feathers, but that doesn’t stop us from celebrating. You see, just a moment of gratitude can create a much needed shift.”
Pelican Highway traffic was having and jamming in both directions using the perfect curling waves to carry them with ease down the road.
They said, “We are here to encourage using the momentum to take you where you want to go. Not to worry, if you are feeling an emptiness, the energy always returns, sometimes when you least expect it.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Through the Years With Uncle Larry, a Male Dolphin
I met Uncle Larry in 2018, I thought sharing about him in a video would be more fun than a long post. I was lucky enough to have a friend who knew the researcher who conducted a health assessment in 2024 which gives us his age. I like to call him an elder, wise and playful.

Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for more tales!
The second video (just 10 seconds) was the day after…I told Uncle larry about all the love from social media and he gave his approval.
Seeking help is a sign of strength.
As soon as my feet hit the sand, I was captivated by the pastel sky with rays of soft light streaming in to the sky. A pod of dolphin were feeding past the waves bringing us a playful vibe to start the day.
With a light wind and calm ocean the morning felt soothing. The sun came up wearing a pretty in pink glow that intensified into a golden and red swirly ball of light.
Laughing gulls, royal terns and sand pipers were foraging for breakfast after bath time. I met a new bird friend, his name is OHO. He and another royal tern who were in the hospital bring us the message today. OHO's journey reminds us that seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but a brave step toward healing.
Oho went on to say, “The bands we wear are not just physical markers; they symbolize the support and care that we all need at times. They are reminders that we are never alone in our struggles. Just as we were cared for by compassionate hands, you too are surrounded by love and support, even when you feel most vulnerable.”
After sunrise Uncle Larry, a male dolphin was in the lagoon, so stay tuned for the full story.
Wishing you a beautiful feeling supported!

Healing with rest, friends and fish
Ahhhhhhh, the sunrise was a gorgeous pretty in pink courtesy of the Sahara sand. Waves rolled toward shore calling the surfers to play hooky and come play.
A very chatty flock flew in early. They grabbed teeny fish early then hit the shallow water for a much needed bath.
After sunrise, Charley and M, 2 male dolphins were in the lagoon. Charley looks like he tangled with a shark since I saw him last. I stayed until they left to see how he was feeling. He seems to be doing well!
He said, “I live in the shark bite capital of the world which means sometimes we tangle with the sharks. It’s a reality for us, and sometimes unavoidable. What’s important is how I take time to heal. Hanging with my bestie M, relaxing, eating lots of fish are things that help me feel better. Time, rest, and friends, that’s my secret to healing.”
Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Seize the opportunities waiting for you
With a layer of cloud cover the morning was a moody bluesy, fifty shades of gray meets a dash of pretty in pink. The humidity and light breeze added to the weighted blanket feeling.
Chocolate colored waves rolled toward shore as the chatty flock flew in early with their wings and hearts open ready for our daily bath.
After sunrise in the lagoon, a maternity pod of dolphins looked for breakfast. A solo duck was in the lagoon hanging with Spot the egret.
The duck brings us the message today. She said, “Look how pretty I am when I spread my wings. I’m a reminder to be bold and show off your colors. Be ready to spontaneously take flight and seize the opportunities waiting for you.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Trust and Wild Dolphins
I met Daniko and Jasper, 2 male dolphins, in 2018 but didn’t get to know them until 20 March 2021 when Daniko hydroplaned by me at mach speed just a few feet away. It felt as if he was introducing himself. Since then, the three of us have spent hours together.
This video shows the viewpoint from the dock then my viewpoint from the water. Thank you Renee Richards Photography for the video from the dock. They love to splash and pose for photos, it feels like we are collaborating to spread more happy vibes.
Stay tuned for more tales!

Feeling safe enough to rest is a treat!
The sunrise was accompanied by a light rain shower and wind. Waves churned toward shore creating a white water looking ocean. Mother Nature used her blue and gold color palette which gave us more a winter feeling kind of sunrise.
A chatty and very tired flock of laughing gulls flew in to connect and grab a bath as the sun came up. They were joined by a flock of royal terns and a solo skimmer. The birds were visibly worn out.
A young laughing gull who plopped down to take a nap said, “Rest is necessary to stay strong. I know I’m safe to close my eyes when I’m in the flock. Together we have a better chance of knowing if there is danger. Feeling safe enough to let down and sleep feels luxurious.”
The royal tern went on tot say, “You can help us feel safe. If you see a flock of birds, please don’t run at us to make us fly.”
Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Pelicans and Nature’s Toys
Hanging out with Pip the pelican is how I learned pelicans love to play and taste test everything! Pip would play with sticks for hours, pull on ropes from the crab traps and toss around anything else he found in the lagoon.
These are a couple photos of Rusty and Eddy who also love to explore! Oyster shells, seaweed goo and sticks, nature’s toys are the best.
Stay tuned for the dolphins and their toys, coming soon!
