Drink in the beauty, fall in love with life

The soft clouds, pink sky, and dreamy moon set the stage for a romantic start to the day. Nature’s love language was on full display.

The flock arrived early, a gathering of familiar friends—One Legger, Peg, Pixar, Hook, and Split Foot. They used the wind, effortlessly hanging in place, as if savoring the morning together.

One Legger, with his soulful eyes, locked onto the camera and seemed to whisper, “Drink in the beauty all around. Fall in love with life—its colors, textures, and tastes. Let wonder fill your heart.”

Above them, Pelican Highway soared, gliding high in the sky, silhouetted against the full moon. As I watched, the tune Fly Me to the Moon floated into my mind, a perfect serenade for this moment of love, connection, and flight.

Wishing you so much love friends!

"Fly Me to the Moon", originally titled "In Other Words", is a song written in 1954 by Bart Howard. The first recording of the song was made in 1954 by Kaye Ballard. Frank Sinatra's 1964 version was closely associated with the Apollo missions to the Moon
Fly Me To The Moon
Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On a-Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby, kiss me
Fill my heart with song
And let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you
Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, in other words
I love ... you

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Always Something to See

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Always Something to See

The Good Year blimp lives just across the lagoon making it easy to spot when it is out for a ride. Check out the tiny people going for a ride.

The dolphins were having a party on the other side of lagoon, giving the cormorants a show at low tide. I sure hope they invent a teleporter soon, so I can zip over to the other side of the lagoon in a flash.

Change your viewpoint for clarity

Mother Nature brought us a sweet and salty morning with a soft haze hanging above the shoreline.  The full moon was bright in the sky soaking up the sunlight before it even arrived.  The flock flew in early with the full moon as their backdrop.

As the sun came up, the color show looked like peach sherbet switching to a golden glow as it inched higher in the sky.

The flock of gulls bring us the message of using the energy of the moon. The moon changes each day, making the fullness even more special.  A time to reflect and let go.  The gulls said, “Switching your viewpoint can give you new perspective, a subtle shift can give great clarity.”

Step into your courage

My favorite morning of the month—when the moon sets just as the sun rises to greet the day. This powerful combination didn’t disappoint, offering a breathtaking start filled with light and possibility.

Before the sun even peeked over the horizon, the lively, chatty flock arrived, their wings and hearts wide open before heading off to their morning bath. The ocean shimmered with a silky softness, its rolling waves reflecting a pastel palette of dawn.

This morning brought an unexpected gift. A bobcat on the boardwalk, crossing my path as I made my way to the beach. A perfect synchronicity, arriving with the full moon in Leo, represented by a cat.

The moon and bobcat come together to encourage letting go of obstacles in the way of our passion and confidence.

This moon invites us to embrace the unexpected—sometimes, the surprises in life are the very things that spark a breakthrough.

Go ahead, let your inner wild cat fill you with courage. Trust in the path ahead.

Stay focused, even when goals are slippery

The pre sunrise sky was a beautiful soft pink accompanied by a calm ocean that looked more like a lake today.

The sun came up looking like a pair of eyes poking through the cloud before becoming a giant golden ball of light.  The gulls celebrating the beginning of a new day dancing around the sun.

The excitement started during bath time, a gull grabbed a fish and mayhem ensued!  The skilled flyers followed the lead bird in hopes of stealing the fish.  They bring us the message, “Stay focused even when the goal is slippery. No matter your goal, even when you lose your grip, you are making progress.  Hang in there, you got this.”

Wishing you an abundant day friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode Lagoon Friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode Lagoon Friends!

The comment I hear most often is how patient I must be to stand in the water for long periods of time. But for me, time disappears in a blink. There’s always something to see—a rare octopus warming in the sunny sand, the familiar presence of my daily friend Spot, or the visit of a dolphin.

On an average day in the lagoon, I find myself in good company. Spot, the egret, watches from the shallows, ever alert. Pelicans are always nearby, preening or resting, enjoying a break between dives.

And then, as if on cue, Charley the dolphin surfaces with a graceful hello, reminding me once again every moment is full of wonder.

Tales from the Lagoon~ Episode - Pelican Referees

The pelicans were letting the dolphins know when the field goal was good today in honor of the Super Bowl.

Several pods came in over several hours. It wasn't until later in the day when the party really got started. One pod was about 10 dolphins when they came in fast, grabbed some fish then cruised out as fast as they came in.

Relax to create a shift

Good Morning!  This morning was filled with springtime colors and loads of wildlife.  Dolphins and pelicans headed southbound in search of breakfast while the flock stayed close to shore for baths time.

At  first light the sky filled with a bronze glow, morphing to pretty in pink and finally to gold.  Perfect waves rolled toward shore just in time for the surf competition.

Our messenger comes from the dolphin duo who were relaxed as they cruised down the beach.  They said, “Relaxation is an important part of self care.  We recommend taking time away from the fray to just be. Your mind and body will thank you.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Remember….

We start the day with a calming sunrise wrapped in a thick layer of salty fog and soft clouds. The sun made a brief appearance before tucking itself behind the horizon’s cloudy veil.

Mother Nature painted the sky with a gentle pastel palette, then shifted to a golden glow as the sun rose higher. Though hidden, its light reflected on the ocean’s surface, casting a warm shimmer that lingered long after.

The reflective sun brings the message of remembering.  The sun said, “I’m not always visible, but I am always here, shining bright.”

Explore fresh paths

Mother Nature used every crayon in the box this morning, painting the sky with a breathtaking sunrise. At first light, huge fluffy clouds stretched across the horizon, but the breeze gently pulled them apart, making way for the sun to shine through.

The flock arrived—large, chatty, and eager for bath time. Pelican Highway was bustling in both directions. A steady stream of travelers floated southbound above the shimmering ocean when one bird dipped his wing into the water, offering a quiet message: “Relax and glide—let the flow carry you.”

As I stepped out of the water, I noticed an egret perched on my camera bag. She said,“Be open to new connections in unexpected places. Explore fresh paths—you never know who you might meet.”

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!

Play and breakfast to set the tone for your day

As soon as my feet touched the sand, I spotted dolphins playing in the waves. It was barely first light as they leapt from the water with effortless joy, infusing the morning with playful energy.

The lively flock of birds arrived, chatty excitedly as they enjoyed their morning bath. The sun rose big and beautiful, casting a golden warmth over the shoreline.

With the sun fully up, the dolphins indulged in a flounder feast, saying, “Start your day with play and a nourishing breakfast—the perfect recipe for a great day ahead."

Be the ripple you want to see in the world

With rain in the forecast, I was pleasantly surprised to witness such a stunning sunrise! Low tide offered a shimmering canvas of wet sand, perfectly reflecting the artistry of a brand-new day.

Mirror, mirror on the sand, unveiled a expansive painting of colors, soothing the nervous system with its serene beauty.

A lively flock arrived for bath time and connection, their chatter filling the morning air. As they fluffed and preened, ripples spread across the water, carrying the message of the day. One of the gulls said, “Remember, even the smallest actions create ripples. Be the ripple you want to see in the world.”

Inspire others to get squeaky clean

The morning was overcast, with a ceiling of fluffy gray and moody blue clouds. The top of the sun peeked out for about a minute, just to the left of the glowing channel marker.

Since there weren’t many sunrise colors to capture, I thought I’d share photos from pelican bath time yesterday. I was lucky enough to be right in the middle of the action when one pelican started splashing—flapping his wings against the water with a loud thud to shake off the bugs.

His enthusiasm was contagious! Before I knew it, the others joined in, turning the quiet waters into a flurry of feathers and spray. Once everyone was squeaky clean, it was time for snacks.

The lead pelican said, “Join me in inspiring others to shake off the bugs. Self-care feels so good and keeps the grumps away.”

Breathe until you can focus

Mother Nature gifted us a much-needed peaceful and cozy sunrise, wrapped in a salty layer of fog.

As the sun slowly made its way through the mist, the buzz of wildlife joined in. Pelican Highway cruised southbound while dolphins frolicked and surfed the waves, their joy undeterred by the haze.

The fog was so thick that my camera struggled to focus. The dolphins said,  "When you feel unable to focus, take a few deep breaths and relax. Clarity comes when the fog lifts. Until then, just breathe."

Wishing you a beautiful, light-filled day, friends!

Let your body move and feel the shift

The pre-sunrise sky glowed in soft hues of pink and blue, with a gentle breeze drifting over the calm ocean.

A peaceful energy filled the air as the flock arrived for bath time, their wings stirring ripples across the still water.

The sun seemed to rise slowly, lingering as if savoring its final moments before kissing the ocean goodbye for the day.

Pixar, the lagging gull, brings us today’s message of movement saying, “Dance like no one is watching. Let your body move and feel the shift it creates.”

Channel markers show the way

As I reached the beach, a gentle humid breeze welcomed me, accompanied by a calm ocean. The flat water made it easy to spot birds feeding and fish leaping gracefully.

A lively, chatty flock arrived just in time to enjoy the sunrise with me. As the sun climbed higher, it illuminated the red channel marker, delivering today's message:

"When you feel like you're swimming upstream, look for the channel markers to guide you. They’ll lead you along the preferred route, helping you avoid obstacles along the way."

Of course the flock reminds us to keep our wings and hearts open to fully experience it all.

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
