Love the one you are with

Inhale, Exhale, Repeat.  With a light breeze and gorgeous color show, the sunrise was beautiful and restorative.  The sky filled with a pink glow as I walked to the beach filled with anticipation, excited to see what masterpiece Mother Nature would bring us today.

The flock flew in shortly after I arrived.  Skimmers, ruddy turnstones, herring gulls and sandpipers joined the flock of laughing gulls.

A solo skimmer who was getting squeaky clean touched her  beak to her reflection reminding us of the song, “Love the one you are with.”  She said, “Fall deeper in love with your reflection, the love will act like a magnet to draw in more love and support.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

See each other

Mother Nature brought us a wonderful sunrise with fluffy clouds, a soft breeze and sweet colors. The pre sunrise sky had a soft glow promising to bring a beautiful start to the day.

The sun came up illuminating the channel marker reminding us to look for the illuminated path. The chatty flock flew in as the sun was coming up and danced around the big ball of light with glee.

One Legger flew over for a close up. You can see his sweet personality.  He said, “I’m here to encourage seeing our flock mates through their eyes. Like the saying goes, you can see the soul through the eyes.  And it’s a great way to feel connected.”

Nature and Beauty can give us a boost

First light was spectacular! A layer of pink fluffy clouds soaked up the beautiful pink color giving us a breathtaking sky. A wispy cloud shaped dolphin flew in from the south hovering above the beautiful sky.

The sun stayed hidden behind the clouds. When the pink faded it left behind a grey and moody blusey kind of sky.

The message today comes form the color show from the pre sunrise sky reminding us to find the beauty. Mother Nature reminds us that nature and beauty can help us relax and gives us an endorphin boost to shift our mood.

Since it was dark and steamy, I thought I’d share a couple wildlife photos from sunset last night. The young pelican flew in with his wings open, ready for his photoshoot.

Grounded, solid and strong

Salty haze hung over the shoreline as the pink sky lit up the morning 30 minutes before the sunrise. A chat flock of gulls flew at their usual time to get squeaky clean.

The pink sky changed to a gold and blue sky reflecting on the wet sand while One Legger did a few minutes of bird yoga. He said, “Grounding into my leg helps me be solid and strong. Being balanced makes me able to handle any external elements that come my way.”

After sunrise a pod of dolphins were snuggling toward the middle of the Indian River. They chimed in adding, “Snuggling and playing with your pod mates can increase your endorphins. Join us and enjoy a few minutes of play to improve your mood and create a shift.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - 12 seconds...Dolphin Chases Mullet at the Camera with 2 pelicans.

A pod of male dolphins were in the lagoon feeding. 2 dolphins headed toward the camera chasing mullet with 2 pelicans tailgating.

Like the pelicans I have to choose which dolphins to follow to get the video or photograph. In this video, one dolphin went left but the other dolphins headed ight for the camera -so I whipped to the right to catch him just a few feet away. Sorry for the whiplash.

Guideposts change but always where we need them

A golden glow filled the sky before the sunrise when the flock flew in from the north.  The flock was huge with all the friends, including, Peg, One Legger, Bob and Pixar.  They were loud and even more engaging.

The channel marker that moved during hurricane Milton was close to the sunrise bouncing around in the waves, bringing us one of the messages today. It reminds us that guideposts may move around but they are always where we need them even in the unexpected locations.

After sunrise I ran into a mockingbird who I see most mornings.  Usually she flys right into her home but tomorrow she was up for posing for a photoshoot.  She said, “I am a bird of song and communication.  Use your intuition to know how to share your heart’s desire. Sure you can copy others like I do, but it’s fun when you find your very own song and sing it loud.”

Stretch to open your heart

Weeeeeeeeee! The wind was whipping making the flock of laughing gulls very frisky! They were using the wind to hang in place while they squawked.

They sky filled with a gold blaze as the sun came up from behind the clouds on the horizon. The ocean churned with power while Pelican Highway stayed high in the sky using the thermals to glide down the beach.

After sunrise a young pelicans was taking time to get squeaky clean. After some much needed wing slapping on the water to get the bugs off he stood up tall and gave himself a good stretch.

He said, “Getting the bugs and tension off through a good stretch is how I stay healthy. I recommend slowing it down, take a deep breath and put your wings back and open your heart. It’s a great way to show off your beauty.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Mine, Mine, Mine

A pelican grabbed a fish about a half of football field away, then flew right over to show off his huge fish. At first he had a stick in his gullet along with the fish. Skillfully he spit out the stick while keeping the fish safe in the pouch.

Getting the stick out seemed to get the attention of the other pelicans who came over and attempted to steal away the catch. The original pelican was not having it, he flew a few feet several times to get away from the pursuers. He stayed close looking at the camera several times posing with pride.

It took about 20 minutes of defensive maneuvers before he got the whopper down the hatch. Phew! Never a dull moment.

A good shake helps your mood

Mother Nature brought us a repeat of the sunrises this week.  When the flock flew in the sky had just a hint of gold.  Once the sun crept out from behind the clouds, gold filled the sky.

The birds were the highlight of the morning.  One Legger, the New Peg and an immature herring gull were posing and enjoying closeness.

The herring gull gave himself a good shake after some much needed debugging.  She said, “If you are feeling stressed, I recommend leaning in and giving yourself a good shake. Just like dogs, us birds know how a good shake can make you feel so much better.”

Unity makes us resilient

The chatty flock of laughing gulls flew in before the sun came up to greet the day.

The color was muted until the big ball of light came up surrounded by a single cloud. Rays of golden light streamed into the light blue back drop.

2 flocks of red knots flew in at mach speed in perfect unison. As they grabbed breakfast in the salty foam they said, “We bring the message of unity and resilience."

"We fly for miles during our migration. We find if we stick together and fly as one, we are able to go further and with ease.”

Flit with lightness

The wind was whipping this morning giving the flock the zoomies, darting off and back in perfect synchronicity.

When the sun came up from behind the clouds, the shadow behind the clouds looked a bit spooky.  The ocean looked white from the churning ocean.

Shore birds scurried through the seaweed in search of breakfast while Pelican Highway flew high in the sky using the wind to zip down the beach.

A dragonfly landed on my camera strap brining us the message today.  She said, “I’m able to flit around bringing the message of joy and lightness.  I also bring the message to be open to change. Just go with the flow and let the transformation unfold.”

Everyone has a role

The almost new moon was just a sliver in the sky with a lavender backdrop 30 minutes before sunrise. The streaming gold light was spectacular, filling the air with a hopeful vibe.

Pelican Highway flew in from the north with a vulture in the lineup. Vultures are not the most popular bird but they have a very important message today.

He said, “I’m not a favorite bird but my role is very important in the eco system. I’m here to remind you that you are significant. Everyone has a role to play that supports the bigger picture.”

“I also bring the message of death and rebirth. Much like the new moon I am here to encourage letting go of the old so the new and fresh can begin.”

Dive into the unknown

It was dark except for the almost new moon bright in the sky as I walked to the beach. A soft pink glow was on the horizon as I reached the beach.

The almost new moon brings us the message today. “I am here to help you dive into the parts of you that you may have hidden from yourself. Use my energy to bring the hidden aspects to your awareness so you won’t trip over them in the future.”

The osprey diving for breakfast added to the message by saying, "Go ahead dive into unknown, not to worry you will most likely come up with new information to set you free.”

As the sun came up nestled between the clouds rays of orange and gold light streamed out filling the sky with a hopeful vibe.

Listen to connect

Mother Nature used the swirly paint brush bringing us a Monet like sunrise to start the day. A pastel color palette added to the serene beauty. The almost new moon surrounded by a haze looked soft and sweet in the sky.

The flock flew in early for bath time joined by a flock of royal terns. If you ave ever seen royal terns on the beach, there is usually one talking to her flock mate intensely.

While I watched her chatting up her mate I said, “What are you so passionate about?” As I spoke, she tilted her head listening intently. I really think she was trying to understand.

She brings the message of listening. She said, “Listening is a nice part of relationships. By hearing my flock, it helps create connection and closeness.”

Mother Nature used every crayon in the box today starting with a soft pink and lavender morning into a swirly golden glow.

The chatty flock flew in early to get squeaky clean. A different flock showing off their athletic ability sped by in close formation. They bring us the message of tuning in.

They said, “For us to fly as a flock at maximum speed without crashing, it is necessary to be in tune with each other. Knowing where we are in the flock while sensing the pack is how we move as one with ease and grace.”

On the way off the beach a red shouldered hawk was hanging on the roof of the pavilion. She said, “I bring the message of strength, courage and vision. Be open to expanding your awareness by seeing the whole picture. The bird’s eye view really is a powerful tool, It can help you see all the moving parts with clarity.”

Adapt and change to open new doors

As I reached the beach, a soft and salty breeze kept first light feeling sweet as an orange glow filled the sky.

The chatty flock flew in early slamming not he brakes making their feet fly in every direction.  One Legger looked beautiful hanging in place with the colorful background.

Surfers played in the perfect waves while Pelican Highway cruised southbound. Shorebirds scurried around looking for breakfast.

A plover showed up along with a few sand pipers.  The plover looking contemplative said, “I’m here to encourage being adaptable and flexible. Some people say I am also a symbol of good fortune.  As you allow change and adjust to the flow, abundance can come your way.”
