Relax, lean back

AHHHHHHH, Mother Nature brought us a dramatic and gorgeous sunrise.  The beauty of the  fluffy clouds  reflecting on the wet sand made my heart expand.

The clouds shapes were mesmerizing especially when the sun came up in a perfect opening in the clouds.

The breeze felt soft on my skin.   A chatty but small flock of gulls flew in accompanied by  a larger flock of ruddy turnstones.  They were all looking for breakfast forgoing our usual bath time.

After sunrise a couple pelicans and dolphin were hanging out.  One of the dolphins said, “Relax, lean back.  No matter how busy you are, remember to lean into the moment and soak up the beauty.  We find it’s a good recipe for health and well being.”

Wishing you a day filled with heart opening beauty!

Dive in!

A thick layer of fluffy clouds covered the shoreline like a cozy blanket.  Wind was whipping bling the sand and adding to the churning ocean.  It looked more like a winter sunrise than spring time.

The flock of gulls flew in and hung out in place courtesy of the wind.  Some of them were struggling not to get blown over from the gusts.

When the sun cam up, it peeked through the clouds with streaming golden amber light rays.  After sunrise there was a sushi rave with the pelicans and a few dolphins.

The pelicans were rapid fire diving bringing us the message of taking action.  They said, “We highly recommend diving in.  Whether you catch your fish or not, go for it!  Afterward, give yourself a good shake, got the stress or confusion off and go again.  Stay committed and let the magic unfold.”

Wishing you beautiful day friends!

PS~ The post from yesterday is the previous post, my apologies for being late.

Give yourself a good shake

Tales from the Lagoon ~Episode - Communication and Gender Reveal

Tales from the Lagoon ~Episode - Communication and Gender Reveal

Yesterday morning after sunrise, it was overcast when I hopped in the lagoon at high tide. Momma Sarabi and her latest calf were in the lagoon along with a few other dolphin.

Last year April 15, Momma Sarabi and Simba her other baby who was around a year old came into the lagoon at high tide. On that day I said, “Hey Momma! Can you help me know if Simba is a boy or girl?

A few minutes later, Simba with some assistance from momma came flying out of the water in perfect form, showing his belly to confirm he was a male. Click the link to see Simba on my website, he is in the baby dolphin gallery.

I was inspired by the high tide to ask again. “Hey Momma! Can you help this baby come out of the water like you did with Simba?”

A few minutes later, The baby started to pop out of the water and even showed his belly!! He looks to be a boy! Male dolphin have one long slit and a smaller slit like an exclamation point. The females have one long slit and two smaller slits like a division sign.

Around 10 minutes later, Momma and the baby swam over to my left about 15 feet away and came out of the water! I thanked Sarabi and the baby several times. They stayed and played for about an hour enjoying the company of the other dolphins.

Any male name suggestions if we stick with the Lion King theme? Sarabi, Simba and ?

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Pelican Versus Mullet

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Pelican Versus Mullet

The pelicans were on top of the dolphin like glue just waiting to snatch up a fish escaping the dolphin chase or hoping the dolphin will toss them a fish.

Usually the immature brown pelicans don’t get in the mosh pit but Eddy the young pelican has been in the mix all week. The immature pelicans are all brown with a white belly. The mature pelicans have white and yellow heads and their belly changes too. Eddy has been doing quite well keeping up with the pelican pros.

One of the mullet flung himself out of the pelicans pouch and swam away with gusto. Can you hear the story he told his school when he found them?

Stay tuned for more tales!

Loosen your grip to feel secure

A salty fish scent filled the air courtesy of seaweed washing ashore. A lovely breeze and churning ocean gave us an invigorating vibe to start the day.

The sun came up with a gorgeous golden glow filling the sky bringing warmth and hope of a new day. A small flock of gulls flew in early to enjoy a nice bath while the sun came up.

On my way off the beach, a squirrel stopped in front of me and started posing. He was very engaging and had lots to say. He said, “Relax, loosen your grip. No need to hold on so tightly to feel secure.”

With the reflection of the morning in his eyes he said, “To have compassion for others, it helps to see how they view the world. Oh, and don’t hoard your nuts, you’ll find more.”

Know when to be passive and when to take action

The wind was blowing as I walked to the beach. Soft fluffy clouds soaked up the sweet pink and purple colors before the sun came up bringing us a lovey golden glow.

The chatty flock of gulls was feeling frisky, dashing here and there quickly. They said, “Be open to stopping and changing directions. Fluidity is a great way to navigate any bumps on your path.”

After sunrise I saw an opossum crossing the sidewalk in search of breakfast. She said. “ I bring the reminder of knowing when to be passive and when to take action. You can surprise yourself by coming out of the shadows, stepping into success.”

Perspective gives new frame of mind

AHHHHHH, Mother Nature used all the soothing colors to create an exquisite cloud painting in the sky. The breeze was light and salty. The flock of gulls flew in for bath time and just in time for the sun to come up.

They said, “We bring the message of perspective. We float above to get a different view of things. You see, we know life can feel messy and challenging, so using the bird’s eye view can create a change your frame of mind.”

“And walking on a little sunshine with our wings and hearts open always makes everything better.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Sharing is Caring

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Sharing is Caring

Momma Jade and Momma Sarabi were feeding themselves and the pelicans along with some much needed and relaxing.

On this day, the momma dolphins were feeling generous and either tossing or leaving a fish for the pelicans. I believe the dolphins intentionally give the pelicans fish every now and then.

I have seen the dolphins watch the pelicans duke it out over the fish they just tossed. Other times, it seems they just want to share and toss the fish a solo pelican or group.

Hit the ground running

With a chill in the air and a cloudless sky, the sunrise was sleek and simple kind of beauty. As I was waiting for the sun to come up, the flock of laughing gulls flew in from the ocean just in time to see the sunrise.

Out of the blue, a huge flock of sandpipers came dashing in, literally hitting the ground running when they arrived. They brought in a fun and peppy energy. The gulls and pipers merged making one large flock as they darted back and forth in front the of sun.

The birds said, “We bring the message of working together to reach a common goal. Trust you will know when to hit the ground running, taking flight to get things moving. Not to worry, you will also know when to hang out, soaking up the love and light with your wings and hearts open.”

New Moon opens new doors

Mother Nature brought us a pretty in pink mixed with some moody blues to give us a serene sunrise. A small flock of gulls flew in for our usual bath time.

The calm ocean and absence of a breeze made the morning extra peaceful. After sunrise a few pelicans and dolphins were grabbing breakfast. The dolphin tossed the pelican a fish bringing the message of sharing with friends.

The almost new moon is 3 days away. Usually the energy of a new moon can be felt 3 days before and 3 days after the new moon. This one is accompanied by a solar eclipse which means it may amplify your emotions.

The new moon brings the message taking time to focus on your desires. “Use my energy to set intentions and take action toward your goals. Be open to new doors opening and the possibility of surprises bringing freshness. Not to worry if somethings fade away, it’s just making space for the new.”

Happy National Dolphin Day 4.14.23

TGIF!

Happy National Dolphin Day!

Today is my camera anniversary too. My late husband came to me in a dream and said, "I'm taking you to the mall, I want you to have a Canon professional camera."

I woke up knowing it was a real visit.

It was 2017 on national Dolphin Day that I purchased my first camera.....I didn't know at that time I'd be photographing dolphins. Seems pretty perfect.

Melt into the moment

Ahhhhh, the wind and ocean haven calmed down giving the surfers a much needed fix. The calm and beautiful pastel color show brought us a serene vibe.

The flock of gulls flew in for some much needed bath time. The perfect waves were rolling toward shore soaking up the soft light.

The surfers, laughing gulls in flight and snail got together to bring us a combo message. Putting it all together they said, “Keep your wings and hearts open, and trust the timing. Relax, slow down, enjoy the journey. As you melt into the moment, clarity will come.”

Be open to unexpected connections

Mother Nature brought us a sweet and salty, pretty in pink and blue sunrise. The refections and shimmery soft light added to the beauty.

The flock of gulls flew in for bath time and a little chat. One of the gulls in front of the sun said, “I bring the message of dancing like no-one is watching. Go ahead, lean back and let your feet go.”

After sunrise, I was in the lagoon with Eddy the pelican when we were both startled by a Blue Heron merging from the mangroves.

He said, “I bring the message of expecting the unexpected. Be open to connections coming out of nowhere. Not to worry, people, places and things are lining up behind the scenes or in this case, in the mangroves.”

Manatee Love Fest

Good Morning!

It was very moody blues with light rain kind of sunrise this morning. Although it was beautiful, I thought sharing a manatee snuggle fest might be a fun way to start the day. Manatees know the power of physical touch.

As Michael Franti sings:

Everybody oughta hug somebody, at least once a day, And everybody oughta kiss somebody, at least once a day.

Wishing you a snuggly day!

Be open to U-turns

The pre sunrise filled the sky with a vibrant pink and purple color explosion. The wind was whipping again while the ocean churned like a washing machine.

The wispy clouds soaked up the gorgeous colors adding to the artful masterpiece. The huge sun came up from behind the clouds bringing warmth and a golden glow.

A small but chatty flock of gulls flew in the enjoy our morning bath time. After sunrise a couple dolphins, a few mature pelicans, and Eddy, Milo, Rusty the immature pelicans were in the lagoon.

A duck couple flew by, did a turn and came back to join the fun. Eddy the Pelican who is usually quite bossy with all birds was surprisingly nice to the ducks. The three of them bring us a few messages. Eddy said, “I bring the message of accepting differences in others. “

The ducks said, “Be open to u-turns and changing directions. We highly recommend going with the flow, use your intuition to know wether to land or take flight.”

Easy does it

With the wind whipping and ocean churning the energy was invigorating this morning.

When I reached the beach there was already a duck couple hanging out, waiting off the sunrise. When the waves washed in, they enjoyed getting a little ride. The sea foam made it look like they were taking a bubble bath.

They bring the message of knowing when to take a time out and soak up the beauty. “We find having a nice balance between taking action and moments of quiet is important for our well- being. A few moments of rest and peace helps us refuel so we can take flight with ease.”

When the golden rays of light streamed int the ocean, a small flock of gulls flew in and used the wind to hang in place.

After sunrise 2 manatees, several dolphins and about 15 pelicans were in the lagoon.

As the manatees sauntered by they said, “We are gentle and easy going. We bring the message of slowing down, minding your emotions and relaxing into the tranquility of he moment. Easy does it.”

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!
