Intimacy through the eyes

The sand was still wet from a rain shower leaving the air humid and salty. The flock of gulls flew in for our usual bath time in the warm water.

Reflections on the wet sand aded to the expansive vibe and the beauty. Huge fluffy clouds filled the sky, soaking up the sweet pastel colors.

After sunrise, 2 male dolphin and 3 pelicans came into the lagoon for snacks and relaxation. Eddy the immature pelicans is a very expressive Being. He uses his eye to say a lot! As you can see his is looking in the water for a fish.

He said, “They say the eyes are the window to the soul. Can you see mine? I know it can be scary to let people see in, but the intimacy and connection is worth it.”

Home is within you

Another lovely spring sunrise with a light breeze and calm ocean. The soft colors added to the serene vibe. As the sun came up the waves started to grow, rolling toward shore soaking up the varied of colors.

The chatty flock flew in as the sun was coming up ready for our usual bath time. Surprisingly, pelicans highway traffic was almost non existent.

After sunrise, I met a turtle strolling across the parking lot. She said, “ I bring the message of trust and flow. I’m here to remind you everything is falling into place, no need to force anything. What is meant for you, will never pass you by.”

“I carry my home on my back, a message that home is within you. Rest deeper into your heart to feel the safety of home. “

Snuggles and hugs keep your immune system strong

Inhale, Exhale, Repeat.

Mother Nature brought us a relaxing and soothing sunrise with a light breeze and calm ocean. Perfect waves rolled in soaking up the soft light.

A chatty flock flew in just in time for the sun to come up bringing us the start of a new day. They said, “The sun brings us vitamin D to give our immune system a boost.”

After sunrise a pod of dolphin came in to grab snacks. In between grabbing breakfast they enjoyed a little snuggle time. A solo pelican relaxed with the dolphins waiting for them to go get a fish.

The cuddling dolphins said, “Snuggles and hugs help support your immune system and boost your mood. We highly recommend a hug a day to keep you smiling and healthy.”

Shake off the stress and tension

With a cool breeze the morning felt refreshing. The wind was blowing the top of the waves sending a salty spray into the air. The swirly clouds soaked up a variety of colors adding to the breathtaking beauty.

A chatty flock of gulls flew in at their usual time, circling around the sun. We headed into the ocean for our usual bath time. One of the gulls gave her self and a good shake then lifted up out of the water in perfect form.

She said, “I’m here to encourage giving yourself a good shake. You see dogs and birds know the power of a good shake, the kind that gets your feathers fluffy and makes the bugs go flying.”

“Once you shake off the stress and tension you can lift up light and airy looking and feeling like a graceful dancer. Join me in letting go, we can lift up together.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Communication with Wildlife

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Communication with Wildlife

If you don’t know my background, I’ve been using a from of therapy in my mental health private practice called CranioSacral Therapy since 2005. It’s a form of light therapeutic touch that assists the body in letting go of trauma and calms the nervous system.

When I get in the water I use my therapeutic skills to tune into the lagoon. If you see me with my hands out it’s not an attempt to pet or touch, it’s one of the ways I communicate or send energy.

On Thursday I spent 3 hours with a solo dolphin who had a fresh shark bite along with a second bite that looked older. I recognized this dolphin from April 2021 when he came in with the first bite.

I’m pretty sure it’s the same dolphin but if not, the experience was the same. I always ask permission first. I asked Maximus, named in 2021, if I could send him healing energy to the wound. Dolphins are very good healers so I wasn’t sure he would want help. After I asked, he swam close and I took that as a yes.

3 hours we spent together with healing energy. It was a sweet and lovely time together.

Friday when I got in the water, he was in the lagoon alone again. I said, “Good Morning, how are you?” Within a minute he swam right over really, really close a few times then went off to relax in the deeper water. I took this as a greeting and his way of showing me his energy was better!

The same thing happened in 2021 with this dolphin. I saw the first bite, asked if I could help and got a yes. After a bit of time passed I said, “If this is helpful can you give me a sign?”

He came in super close and out of the water. I thought, I‘ll move and give him some space to eat. When I walked to the right, he followed on my left side, swam in front of me and came straight out of the water with a fish. I took this as him saying, "Yes that was helpful.”

I experience the same energy from them when I feel their echolocation. When it comes toward me it can help shift my mood or help my head clear. It’s truly an honor to hang with these wonderful Beings.

stay open to new doors unlocking with ease

Mother Nature brought us a windy and refreshing sunrise. The wind was assisting in restoring the dunes by blowing the sand with intensity in their direction. The wind and sand remind us rebuilding is possible, it just takes time.

The golden ball of light came up above the churning ocean bringing us a beautiful new day.

The flock of gulls flew in hot using their feet to brake and the wind to hold in place. While I was hanging with the gulls, a crow flew in to see if I had any snacks in my bag.

He said, “I have a a lot to say! I am here to remind you to look for the magic in your every day life. I want you to know, everything you have worked for is manifesting in the physical form, hang in there.”

“I’m a reminder to check out all your resources. I’m investigating the backpack to see if it can be helpful. Watch for signs and opportunities and stay open to new doors unlocking with ease.”

Being rooted gives you inner strength

Mother Nature used her pastel color palette to bring us a stormy moody blues sunrise. The dramatic clouds added to the wintry feeling. Silver light sparkled on the water as the waves rolled in.

Although the full moon was hidden as it set behind thick clouds, the powerful energy was palpable. A blue heron floated by while I stood in the river looking for dolphins bringing us the message today.

He said, “Ground yourself, relax and flow along with the energy. Being rooted will help you feel an inner strength to help navigate any uncertainty.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Dolphins, Manatees, and Shark Bites, Oh My!

When I got in the lagoon today there was a solo dolphin relaxing with 3 pelicans. Minutes later a manatee came over and said hello.

Once I started snapping photos of the dolphin I knew right away it had a shark bite. Since 2018 I’ve seen around 10 dolphin shark with bites. This one seemed to be doing ok, grabbing fish and even came out of the water once with a mullet surrounded by pelicans.

When he wasn’t chasing fish he was relaxing in the calm water. I saw more manatees come in from the north. When they got closer, I counted 7! By the end of the day I saw 13 manatees!

Seeing so many is exciting because last year they were struggling to survive. I hope they continue to thrive.

Let go to expand

As I walked the beach, the roar of generators filled the air waves. Power was out as far as the eye could see. When I reached the beach, the absence of birds and darkness added to the eerie feeling of the day.

The flock eventually flew in hot and chatty and with it, a feeling of relief. The flock sure brings me comfort and connection.

The full moon was setting just before I started to walk to the beach. Like all full moon it asks us to let go of what no longer serves us. This one is accompanied by the energy of a lunar eclipse which amplifies the intensity of the moon.

The moon says, “Use my energy to facilitate letting go so you can expand. Let go and step into what your heart truly desires. My energy may feel intense but trust you can do this.”

A couple gulls added to the message saying, “When the energy feels intense, go within for the answers. Practice self care by pulling out the old feathers, making room for new ones. Trust us, you will love your new look.”

Being grounded is your super power

With cool temperature and light salty breeze the morning felt refreshing. The sun came up free from clouds showing us the beauty of simplicity.

A very chatty flock of gulls, sand pipers, and ruddy turnstones flew in hot ready for bath time. They had their wings and hearts up lifting up together bringing us the message of supporting each other. They said, “join us in lifting each other up.”

We have a full moon eclipse tomorrow which you may feel the energy of already. The full moon brings us endings and conclusions. The eclipse adds an additional boost ushering in a very powerful opportunity to let go of anything that no longer serves us.

The solo laughing gull said, “Keep yourself rooted like a redwood to stay centered. Being grounded is your super power to navigate the waves of energy you may feel.”

2 skimmers flying by grabbing snacks by dragging their lower beak through the water added to the message. “We are different than the other birds. We encourage using the moon energy to step into your uniqueness. Your differences add to the special ingredients that make you."

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Momma Jade

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Momma Jade

If you are just tuning in, I met Momma Jade in 2019 with her baby Ruby. She was the second mom and baby I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with.

With each baby I have said, “Hey Momma, Can I meet your baby?” Each time she was presented her baby. The first time the baby hopped on top of her and they swam by together. The second time, the baby was on her back under water and she lifted her up just a few feet away.

She is an excellent fisher girl. She is affectionate with her kiddos, enjoying lots of kissing, smooching and rolling around together.

Waiting is part of the journey

Ahhhhhh what a sweet pretty in pink morning. A calm ocean and light wind brought us a sweet and serene sunrise.

When I reached the beach I could see dolphins swimming south as the flock flew in to enjoy bath time as the sun came up to greet the day.

Perfect waves started to grow as the sun came up as a sailboat headed out to sea. The sailboat and wave bring us the message of going with the flow.

Together they said, “Waiting for the momentum is part of the ride. Not to worry if you feel a lull, the abundant resources will carry you forward when the timing is best.”

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Momma Sarabi Versus 6 Pelicans

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Momma Sarabi Versus 6 Pelicans

Yesterday in the 25 mile hour winds and white caps, Momma Sarabi, Momma Jade, Daniko, Cutter and a few other dolphins were enjoying lots of fishing.

Her calf would wait for her to grab a fish then they would meet up and swim around together. Or the baby would wait with another adult dolphin while mom went to grab snacks.

It’s been quite a treat getting to know her this year. Not only is she a great athlete and powerful fisher girl, she is social with all the dolphins, a patient mom and kind enough to interact with the camera.

More from her and Momma Jade coming soon! Stay tuned!

Lift each other up

The rain left behind cooler temperatures and clear skies. An orange glow filled the sky before the big ball of light came up to greet the day.

Skimmers flew northbound as the flock of laughing gulls flew in from the south. Pelican highway was using the perfect waves to fuel them down the beach with ease.

When the gulls arrived they were darting off and back in front of the sun. A gull couple looked like they were holding wings as they lifted up saying, “We are here to encourage sharing the journey as a way of lifting each other up.”

2 of the laughing gulls had a lively conversation about the weekend. They said, “Sharing our day brings us closer and gives us strength."

open to beautiful connections, both brief and ongoing.

With severe weather looming, since turtle season got an early start I thought it would be fun to post photos from my favorite Momma Turtle.

These photos were taken on the morning of June 3, 2020 just after sunrise. She has just finished laying her eggs and was trekking back to the ocean. The amazing New Smyrna Beach Turtle Trackers were on the scene to monitor her and keep her safe.

This was one of the most powerful wildlife experience I have ever had. As she walked back to the ocean she stopped and turned, looking right at the camera. When she looked at me, I was overwhelmed with emotions. In that brief moment I felt like I had a glimpse into her world. What a formidable, wise, beautiful and loving Being.

She brings us the message of being open to beautiful connections, both brief and ongoing.

A message of courage

Mother Nature brought us a spring time sunrise with a pretty in prink sky and with soft and sweet clouds. The flock of gulls flew in early enjoying some much needed bath time while the sun came up.

Skimmers, terns and ruddy turnstones were in the mix too. Pelican Highway traffic was jamming, stopping often to grab snacks at a rest stop.

4 pelicans in perfect formation near a channel marker bring us one of the messages. ‘We are here to remind you that things are lining up. Look for the guideposts to let you know which way to go.”

A little bird called a sandwich tern was diving into the large waves for snacks brings us the second message. “I’m here to bring the message of courage. No matter how small you feel or how big the waves are, not to worry, you are stronger than you know. Stay focused, trust yourself and embrace your inner sandwich tern.”

Things are lining up

With heavy rain over night the morning air was cool and fresh. Mother Nature used her pastel color palette bringing us a lovely work of art to start the day. Gorgeous waves rolled toward shore calling the surfers to come play.

A chatty flock of gulls flew in as the sun was coming up. They stopped to soak up the beauty reminding us to savor the moment.

After sunrise Momma Jade and baby Opal came in to grab a quick bite along with a couple pecans. A pelican and mullet passed for a photo together. They bring the message of expecting unexpected connections and moments.

The fishy who got away went on to say, “You can trust in the timing. People, Places and things are lining up behind the scenes to support you and your path.”

Connection feeds the soul

Inhale, Exhale, Repeat. It was a lovely sunrise with sweet loving energy. The beauty was reflected on the wet sand adding to the beauty.

A chatty flock of gulls flew in hot with their brakes fully engaged ready to enjoy the sunrise and bath time. One of the gulls floated by with her head up saying, “Stay loose, go with ease, everything will work out one way or another.”

Pip the pelican, Momma Jade a dolphin with her latest calf Opal, Spot an egret, Mikey a great egret, turtles, manatees, cormorants and more pelicans were all chilling in the calm lagoon after sunrise.

They said, “We are enjoying relaxing before the storm comes. We encourage taking time to enjoy each other.”

A pelican (not Pip) came up close and said, “I agree, closeness comes in many forms and feeds the soul.”

Wishing you beautiful day with lovely connections.

Rest to stay strong and centered

With storms all around, Mother Nature brought us another dramatic sunrise. The sun found a way to peek through the clouds sending out amber light rays. The vibe was sweet and hopeful.

A chatty flock of gulls flew in hot and chatty, darting back and forth with the wind. We skipped bat time again today but enjoyed hanging out soaking up the beauty.

After sunrise Rudy the immature pelican was hanging on the dock. He brings us the message of rest. He said, “The wind has been blowing a lot lately. I need time to rest so I can stay strong and not get blown around. I recommend resting in nature to keep you feeling centered.”
